Blizzard never shipped a 1v1 bracket, so duelling at level 80 lives entirely on private realms. On WoWClick you type .q1v1, get matched with whoever is waiting, and fight in a real arena with full PvP gear on both sides.
.q1v1 anywhere in the world — no need to travel to an arena master. The PvP trinket breaks one control effect on a two-minute cooldown. In a duel it is usually the difference between surviving a stun opener and dying inside it, so do not burn it on the first snare.
Every 3.3.5a arena map has pillars or boxes. Against a caster, breaking line of sight forces a wasted global and often a wasted cast. Against a melee, it buys the cast you need.
Most 1v1 fights are decided by who used a defensive first. Watch for the bubble, the shield wall, the vanish — then pressure the window after it ends rather than into it.
If the opener went badly, kite and drink instead of trading. Wrath duels have long resets and there is no timer pressure from a team.
